Special Projects & Initiatives
- The Big Enough project aims to revolutionize how we think about homeownership in Hampshire and Franklin county by focusing on small, simple homes built with community support. Be a part of changing, celebrating, and testing how regulations, financing, social and cultural expectations, design, and construction influence the ability for individuals to access small homes.
- The Cost of Home advocacy campaign is a five-year effort by Habitat for Humanity International through which local Habitat affiliates are working to ensure 10 million people have access to an affordable home.
- “The house that faith built” was a concentrated interfaith effort to raise funds and volunteers for the Glendale Rd Northampton project.
- The Small Home Hero Award, part of the Big Enough project, recognizes individuals and organizations affecting change in Western Massachusetts around small, affordable homeownership.
- Women Build at PVHH is a monthly weekend event that aims to nurture, recruit and train women (and individuals of all genders underrepresented on construction sites) to build simple, decent, healthy and affordable houses. Join us on the construction site today!
